How not to play Wii Winter Olympics

This has seriously got to be the coolest camera ever. It’s like Holga meets Transformers. I saw it a while ago, but back then I wasn’t obsessed with toy cameras. It’s just as lo-fi as other toy camera, but emphasis is on the toy aspect more than the camera. It takes 110 film which is a bit of a hassle, but it’s definitely one of the things I want to add to my collection of cameras.
Here is what camerapedia has to say…
The Voltron Starshooter 110 is a toy camera in the best meaning of the word. It looks like a cheap plastic fake SLR with viewfinder and awful plastic lens. But you have to play with it for finding out that it’s much more a toy than many so-called “toy camera”s which often are just bad cameras. Then it unfolds and becomes a science fiction hero just like jumped out of the computer screen from a space invaders shooting game. But the puppet is also a camera, its shoulder region contains a real pocket camera for type No. 110 film cartridges. It was made in Macau (then Portugual, now China) for Impulse Ltd. of Missouri (USA) in 1985.
So apparently Australia is once again going blue and red 3D mad!
It’s because Talkin bout Your Generation is back tonight, and they have a 3D segment!
I had a pair from Spy Kids that I kept for about 5 years or so, but I can’t seem to find them.
Instead of buying a pair of 3D glasses I thought I’d make my own. There’s tutorials on how to make them here.
I however used another method. I have a few pairs of those real d 3d glasses you get from avatar, so I popped out the lenses. Then I got some red and blue flas gels (used in photography to change the colour of light) and stuck them in place of the lenses. Easy!
I’ll just have to make sure noone is around when I watch TV tonight… hehehe…
I’ve been thinking about what to put as my Facebook photo all week for Doppelgänger week, I think I finally found a good one! It’s Edna from The Incredibles!
The sad thing is that I took the picture of me before I even saw that picture of Edna!

I don’t know what NBC were thinking, but they have decided to put Jay Leno back to his old timeslow, demoting Conan O’Brien and his Tonight Show to after midnight. He’s been given the option to either have his show later or quit.
I don’t understand this, because Leno is old and not funny anymore. They sacked him like 3 years ago, so why would they reinstate him only 5 months after Conan’s show started. It just doesn’t seem fair.
I’m sticking with Conan, no matter what.

Whether you love her or hate her, music artist Lady Gaga’s made an interesting new business venture, expanding what she dubs her “Haus of Gaga” into the world of Polaroid. Famed for its square, white-framed instant gratification photography, the company seems to suits her. According to a Polaroid press release, Gaga will be the new creative director for a specialty line of Polaroid products.
She’ll actually be making an appearance to discuss her new line and partnership with Polaroid at the Consumer Electronics Show, which kicks off tomorrow in Las Vegas.

Polaroid’s been an iconic presence in the consumer photography world for over half a century, and music culture seems to have a special place in its heart for the company … or at least OutKast did (“Shake it like a Polaroid picture”). It’s a stretch, but Gaga indirectly references photography in her song, Paparazzi. Whatever the connection might be, keep an eye out for more info at CES from Polaroid, which has now focused its photo business arm onto digital photography.
Lady Gaga will be making speaking at the Polaroid booth tomorrow at 10:45am, and Gaga-inspired products are set to be released late 2010.

I can’t believe it took me so long to get these, or how amazingly cheap these were!
I bought 100 bud lights for a total of $3!
To put that in comparison, I once paid $7 for a single green LED bulb.
Now I can make heaps of pretty bokeh without having to rely on other people’s light sources.
