Mika @ Enmore Theatre

Oh my goodness. This guy is amazing. He’s a maniac. He never keeps still (except to play the keyboard, and then he’s still crazy). I’d shoot him again and again if given the opportunity.

I spent all of yesterday feeling sick and sorry for myself, thanks to the erratic weather Sydney’s been copping. By night I was still having dizzy spells but I knew I had to get to Enmore for this gig. It was so worth it. If I wasn’t sick I probably would have nailed more action shots, but I still managed to capture hundreds of memories from such an amazing night.

Over the week, Counting Crows were in the country to support The Who. They also played a sideshow at the Luna Park Big Top.

Franz Ferdinand @ Enmore Theatre

If there was one thing I learned today, it was that taking pictures with a swollen eye was not easy to say the least. I’d aquired my bug bite while camping up in Forster last week. I’m already long sighted so using a camera is quite difficult for me, but I just had to adapt myself.
The gig itself was also challenging in its own merit, the lights were quite difficult, especially for Franz Ferdinand. The light was patchy, one second the stage was complete white light, the next second it would be pure darkness and that would be repeated for the entire time I was shooting.
Enough of this whinging, you can see a collection of the photos taken here.
